Network Analyst
The Metropolitan District Commission
(MDC) is a non-profit municipal
organization that provides potable
water, sewerage services and other
environmental services to the Hartford,
Ct. region. We are accepting
resumes for a position of Network
Analyst.
This is a responsible professional
network analyst position. Work involves
responsibility for analyzing, planning
and maintaining a District wide
client/server system for integrated
information storage, computing,
communication and related equipment.
Duties include installing and upgrading
network/system hardware and software,
troubleshooting user problems with
printers, desktop PC LAN connections,
and desktop software and hardware. This
position provides technical help to
users, diagnoses and resolves end-user
problems, and maintains server backups.
This position has the responsibility for
making technical network support
decisions. This work requires that the
employee have considerable knowledge,
skill and ability in TCP/IP networks,
LAN hardware and software, desktop
applications, and communication systems
including voice, data, fax and Internet
technologies.
Qualifications: bachelors degree from a
recognized college or university in
information technology, computer science
or related field, plus two years
experience in network systems
maintenance including WAN’s, LAN’s, PC’s
and servers. Must have a valid driver’s
license.
Hourly rate range $28.91 to $34.72.
Benefits include vacation, sick and
holiday pay, health and dental
insurance, and pension plan.
