The 2005 edition of
America's Most Literate Cities attracted nationwide media attention.
The story was initially reported on November 29 by Mary Beth
Marklein in USA Today. Many other papers from around the
nation--from Seattle to Boston, from Detroit to Houston--also carried accounts of the survey, and President Miller was
interviewed on radio stations in Seattle, Minneapolis-St. Paul,
Detroit, Austin, San Diego, Northridge (CA), and San Francisco.
