Academic Advisor Survey

Dear CCSU Faculty:

The Long Range Planning Committee for Advising, an ad-hoc group of faculty convened by a previous provost, is concerned with the process of academic advising at CCSU.  We all agree that advising is an important responsibility of the faculty, one that should be recognized and rewarded. In an effort to assist faculty in evaluating their own advising and/or in gathering data to be included in faculty portfolios, we have developed an Academic Advisor Survey (Word document The survey is strictly voluntary and is merely a tool for faculty to solicit student feedback. It is short, concise and anonymous, much like teaching evaluations. This is a pilot survey and we are hoping faculty will use the instrument in the upcoming advising period.  The Committee welcomes feedback, especially after the instrument has been used with students.

If you choose to use the survey, we suggest you download and print it, then copy it and hand it out or make it available to advisees.  Your department secretary may be willing to collect the surveys from students, or perhaps you could provide a neutral place for students to submit them. The surveys and information are for your use only.
