The Office of the University Ombudsperson provides an extensive service that facilitates fair and equitableresolutions to concerns that arise within the university. 
The Office remains a strategic part of CCSU's commitmentto pursuing educational excellence with productivity, due process, and fairness. 
The practices of the Office of theUniversity Ombudsperson reflect the values and principles expressed in the University's mission and visionstatements. 
The Office of the University Ombudsperson advocates for fairness, equity, justice and humanetreatment at CCSU for students, employees, faculty and administrators. 
From these principles, The UniversityOmbudsperson offers an impartial, objective, informal alternative for resolution of concerns for students, faculty,staff and management. 
Acting as an impartial third-party, the University Ombudsperson informally investigates complaints, resolves differences through mediation,  expedites processes or advocates for specific actions and,based on experience in dealing with individual cases, presents options for procedural changes within the University. To the extent permitted by law, consultations with the University Ombudsperson will be kept confidential.  The University Ombudsperson reports directly to the University's President.
