The MSA@CCSU--Putting You on the Path to Success...and the CPA!

Our MSA program is designed to prepare you for a successful career--and part of that process is preparing you to pass the CPA exam. You'll find that our distinctive arrangement with the CPA exam prep company Becker integrates their prep courses seamlessly with our curriculum, enabling you to efficiently spend your study time while targeting critical exam objectives.

Flexible course schedules, hybrid and online courses, and evening class hours make this an ideal program for working professionals.

Our faculty have a breadth of practical business experience that enriches their academic expertise--they bring the business world into the classroom. You'll find that they are superb educators: of the 14 undergraduate accounting programs in the state, CCSU's ranks #4 in CPA exam pass rates! 

While their first calling is teaching, faculty also consult for many businesses in the Hartford area, creating a supportive network for sharing ideas, internships, and job opportunities.


Program Details

The Masters of Science in Accounting program is a program requiring 30 credits to complete. This program includes six required courses and four elective courses. Three required and three elective courses are offered each Fall and Spring semester; a selection of required and elective courses are offered each Summer semester.

Full-time students can complete the program in one calendar year by attending classes during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Part-time students can complete the program in 18 months by completing two courses each session for five consecutive semesters.

The program begins this Summer 2016 semester.
