Dr. Christopher J. Galligan, Vice President for Institutional Advancement
Christopher J. Galligan was appointed Vice President for Institutional Advancement in July 2007. He is responsible for the leadership of advancement services; alumni affairs; the CCSU Foundation, Inc.; development/fundraising; marketing and communications; and corporate, foundation, and government relations. In addition, he oversees non-traditional institutional advancement activities including continuing education, the Institute of Technology and Business Development (ITBD), the Institute of Municipal and Regional Policy (IMRP), and the Department of Athletics.
Prior to accepting the Institutional Advancement position, Dr. Galligan served as the University's Acting Dean of the School of Business and was responsible for all academic, administrative, and student affairs of the school. The School of Business housed approximately 90 full- and part-time faculty members, 2,000 undergraduate students, and 100 graduate students.
Dr. Galligan's academic background includes a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Nichols College, an M.E. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Hartford, an M.S. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford.
