FIRST DAY ON CAMPUS

What to Do:

Below is a check list we have created to help make your first day on campus go a little bit smoother. Remember that the first day can be as overwhelming as it is a new adventure. If you have any questions, please contact the Residence Life Office at 860-832-1660.
  • Check-in at your residence hall at the designated time.
  • Sign all necessary paperwork.
  • Meet your Resident Director/Area Coordinator as well as your RAs for your building
  • Make sure you provide your contact information to those important to you. Due to security concerns, staff members cannot give out your personal information.
  • The phone line in your room cannot make long distance calls. Remember to bring a calling card and/or cell phone with you.
  • Make sure the items you bring with you to campus do not fall under our Restricted Items.
  • We have provided every student with a Survival Guide. This guide contains important information you will need to know in terms of housing conditions as well as the "whose who" and "what is what" on campus.
  • If you realized you forgot something after you have unpacked, you do not have to worry. There are plenty of local shops and stores with in minutes of campus to get those last minute items.
