Institutional Research and Assessment

  NEASC Accreditation

CCSU is accredited regionally by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE).  During the 1997-98 academic year, using the Standards adopted by NEASC in 1992, a writing team made up of CCSU faculty and staff prepared a Self Study.

November 1-4, 1998, a NEASC-appointed team came to CCSU for a site visit. On the basis of that visit, the team prepared an Evaluation Report.  A response was then submitted by CCSU.  Following a CIHE hearing held in Providence in  April, 1999,  the Chair of the Commission sent a letter to President Judd detailing the Commission's findings.

During July, 2000, a progress report was prepared addressing the points raised in the NEASC report.

In January, 2001, President Judd sent the required Interim Report (pdf) to NEASC.  The following March 29, President Judd received the NEASC response to that report.

In September, 2003, CCSU submitted the regular Fifth-Year Report required by NEASC along with supporting data.  We received the CIHE response to that report.
