Carmine J. Abate Scholarship (2003)

  • Recipient must be a graduate of New Britain High School who participated in varsity football at the high school.

  • Accepted for admission as a first-time, full-time matriculated undergraduate student at Central.

  • Preference will be given to applicants who enroll in the Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology majors.

Anthony & Helen G. Bichum Scholarship (2007)

  • Support for selected incoming first-year and transfer students accepted for admission into the School of Engineering and Technology. First-year students must rank in the top third of their graduating class and have achieved a minimum of 1100 on the SAT. Transfer students must have an overall collegiate grade point average of 3.5 or higher for all work completed at accredited colleges with a minimum of 30 semester hours completed.

Special Application Instructions:

  • Students who meet the minimum criteria are nominated annually by the Director of Recruitment and Admissions and reviewed by the Dean and Faculty of the School of Engineering and Technology. Applications are not accepted for this scholarship.

OKAY Industries Scholarship (2010)

  • US citizen

  • Declared major in mechanical engineering technology with between 50 and 60 semester hours of academic credit in residence at the university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0.

Jack Arute, Sr. Scholarship (2032)

  • Recipient must be a graduate of New Britain High School or E.C. Goodwin Technical School, rank in top third of graduating class with an SAT score of 1000 or higher.

  • Accepted for admission or currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate majoring in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Technology.

  • Demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular or community activities.

Stephen & Marie Burg & Family Scholarship (2070)

  • Junior or senior level student in the School of Technology with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.

  • Evidence of outstanding academic and career potential.

  • Financial need may be considered at the discretion of the faculty.

CBA Construction Law Scholarship (2182)

  • Awarded to incoming and continuing students majoring in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology.

William Chatfield Scholarship (2200)

  • Junior or senior majoring in Technology Education with a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) – Hartford Chapter Scholarship (2303)

  • Awarded to first year students at CCSU whose academic and career interests are in the area of Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology.

  • Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in high school and on the SAT exam.

Geary Memorial Scholarship (2360)

  • Junior majoring in Engineering Technology; minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average.

J. Thomas Gugerty Scholarship (2410)

  • Full-Time matriculated undergraduate student at CCSU with a minimum of 30 hours of earned academic credit and a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA.

  • Industrial Technology or Engineering Technology majors with a preference to students majoring in electrical systems or power transmission.

  • Financial need may be considered at the discretion of the faculty.

Lincoln Mongillo Scholarship (2520)

  • Full-time matriculated undergraduate at CCSu with a minimum of 30 hours of earned academic credit and a minimum 2.75 GPA.

  • Must be a declared major in Construction Management or Civil/Construction Engineering Technology.

  • Preference will be given to students who are residents of Southington, CT.

G. Wesley Ketcham Scholarship (2550)

  • Full-time junior or senior in Technology Education who shows promise of becoming an outstanding Technology Education teacher

  • Financial need may be considered at the discretion of the faculty.

Litton Industries Scholarship (2590)

  • Junior or senior student in the School of Technology selected on the basis of scholastic achievement and character.

James A. & Mary Hayes Lord Scholarship (2640)

  • Full-time junior or senior in School of Technology at CCSU.

  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average. 

Raymond D. & Ellen N. Martinsen Scholarship (2670)

  • Technology major in good academic standing.

  • Evidence of financial need may be considered at the discretion of the faculty.

C.R. Klewin/Michael J. D’Amato Scholarship (4100)

·        Awarded to incoming and continuing students majoring in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology.

Duffy Family Scholarship (4180)

  • Support for a continuing student in the School of Technology who shows evidence of outstanding academic and career potential.

  • Financial need may be considered at the discretion of the faculty.

Rowland-Reflexite Technology Scholarship (9425)

  • Recipient must be a resident of New Britain, Southington, Berlin, Kensington, or Newington.

  • Awarded to incoming and continuing students majoring in Computer Electronics and Graphics Technology, Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing and Construction Management

  • Incoming students who graduated in the top 50 percent of his/her graduating class, and has an SAT score greater than the average of the incoming class at CCSU or returning students who have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

  • Demonstrated qualities of service, leadership and academic achievement.

  • Student must be interested in possible part-time or summer employment at Reflexite.
