Scholarships for International Students/Exchanges

Paul Hochstim German Scholar Exchange (1060)

  • Support for scholarly exchange between German universities and CCSU.

    Special Application Instructions:

    • Applicants must print out, complete and return to the CCSU Foundation, Inc. a copy of the Hochstim Grant Proposal Form.  A link to the form can be found on the application.

James-Hauser International Exchange (1150)

  • Support student exchange opportunities with Northwest Normal University Teachers College, Cheongju University and Federal University Paraiba.

    Special Application Instructions:

    • Applicants must print out, complete and return to the CCSU Foundation, Inc. a copy of the James-Hauser Grant Proposal Form.  A link to the form can be found on the application.

Stanislaus A. Blejwas Memorial Scholarship (2009)

  • Provides support to a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates an interest in Polish issues. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in an interdisciplinary academic minor in Polish Studies or to a CCSU student who studies in Poland for a semester or a year.

    Special Application Instructions:

    • Applicants must submit a statement of not more than 250 words, detailing specifically how they have dedicated themselves to Polish scholarship and to involvement and leadership in the Polish community, and two letters of recommendation from faculty members, school counselors, or notable persons from the community.

Grzyb Memorial Scholarship (2370)

  • Student of American birth who excels in Polish Studies at CCSU.

Helen Garabedian Scholarship (2545)

  • A student of Armenian decent in good academic standing.

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher; completion of 15 credits per semester.

Ki Hoon Kim Scholarship (2570)

  • Support for Korean and Japanese students attending CCSU and for University faculty and students to study or do research in Korea.

Kwang Lim & Hesung Chun Koh Scholarship (2600)

  • Korean students enrolled or accepted for admission as full-time undergraduate or graduate students at CCSU.

  • Full-time undergraduates accepted for study in the Republic of Korea.

  • Recipients must be in good academic standing in the school or university of record.

    Special Application Instructions:

    • Applicants must submit a statement of not more than 250 words, detailing the need for the scholarship and intended goals during matriculation at CCSU or at the Korean university.

George R. Muirhead Scholarship (2730)

  • Support for student academic exchanges with universities in the United Kingdom.

Yoko Niibo Scholarship (2780)

  • Support for the exchange of students between the University and Japanese or Korean universities.

H. G. Peter Wallach Scholarship (2940)

  • Full-time undergraduate student at CCSU with 30 hours of earned academic credit and a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

  • Preference given to students who are majoring in political science or who have demonstrated an understanding of current issues in civil liberties and constitutional law or who will be engaging in study in Germany.

Polish Invitational Golf Committee Scholarship (4540)

  • Polish born, full-time, matriculated undergraduate student currently studying at CCSU.

  • Has earned 60 credits in residence at CCSU with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in any field of study.

    Special Application Instructions:

    • Applicants must submit a statement of not more than 250 words, detailing the need for the scholarship.

    • Applicants must submit a copy of their birth certificate as proof of birthplace in Poland.

Alexander J. Federowicz Scholarship (9140)

  • Polish born, full-time, matriculated undergraduate student currently studying at CCSU.

  • Earned 60 credits in residence at CCSU with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in any field of study.

    Special Application Instructions:

    • Applicants must submit a statement of not more than 250 words, detailing the need for the scholarship.

Polish Summer School Scholarship (9350)

  • Student interested in participating in a summer study abroad program in Poland.

  • Full-time, matriculated, undergraduate student currently studying at CCSU.

  • Has earned 60 credits in residence at CCSU with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in any field of study.

C.J. Huang Endowment Scholarship (2510)

  • Support for exchange of faculty, students and staff with Ouyang Yu Middle School in Hunan Province, Peoples’ Republic of China.

    Special Application Instructions:

    • Award recipient must be nominated by the President of CCSU based on the recommendation of the Director of the Foreign Affairs Office at Ouyang Yu.  Applications are not accepted for this scholarship.
