save or extend lives and reduce breast cancer mortality statewide through
education, treatment, research and support. Within this new organization,
the CT Breast Health Initiative, Inc., the strategy will be to focus on
Connecticut and to collaborate with – and partner with – other breast cancer
organizations in Connecticut with similar goals. Our signature event, the
CT RACE IN THE PARK, is held on the Saturday before Mother’s Day in Walnut Hill
Park in New Britain, CT. Each year funds, received through the RACE and
various other events, are distributed to statewide organizations for innovative
breast health programs & research, through a rigorous grants process. Our
organization operates with dedicated volunteers and one full-time paid staff
