|
If a student currently has a CCSU email box and it is full, the easiest way to empty the email box is to remove and re-create it. This works as long as the student does not have ANY email that they want to keep. To remove the CCSU email box: 1. Go to: https://accounts.ccsu.edu 2. Enter your 8-digit ID, last 4-digits of SSN and date of birth. 3. Click Submit. 4. Click on the Email Preferences link and read about your email options. 5. At the bottom of the screen you will see what your current email option is set to. Check to be sure it is currently set to a CCSU email box. 6. Choosing to have email forwarded will remove your CCSU email box. So, click on the button in front of “forwarding” and put in an off-campus email address. This could be real or fictitious. 7. Click OK. Warning: This will remove your CCSU email box and all the mail messages contained in it. To re-create the CCSU email box: 1. Follow steps 1-5 above. 2. Click on “CCSU Exchange Mailbox” 3. Click OK. Your new CCSU email box will be created. 4. Click Exit to leave the accounts management program. 5. To send and read CCSU email, log into CentralPipeline and choose “Outlook Web Email” from the right-hand column or go directly to the email server http://www.mail.ccsu.edu. If a student has some messages in their CCSU email box that they want to keep and they do not want to delete their entire CCSU email box, follow the links below for instructions on how to delete unwanted messages and create space. Deleting all unwanted messages to create space in a CCSU email box: On campus, use Microsoft Outlook on the desktop to access and delete messages. Off campus, use Outlook Web Access http://www.mail.ccsu.edu to access and delete messages. Refer to: http://www.ccsu.edu/its/Academic/Reference/ReferenceMaterials.htm for further information on how to delete messages using Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Web Access. |
