Visit Career Services

Orient Yourself!
First, visit the Career Services website and click on “Orient Yourself!” to follow the Part-time Jobs tutorial, then complete and submit the registration information requested at the end.  The resulting confirmation page will provide you with the username and password information necessary for you to activate your Central Connections account.  This will allow you to view available jobs and apply as requested by the department.

Find a Job, Then Obtain & Complete the Forms
As soon as you accept an on-campus job, the campus department that is hiring you will provide you with the documents needed to process your employment and activate your payroll account.  You will also receive an information packet to read before completing and signing the forms.
  • The student who is being employed must visit the Career Services office in person with their completed forms.

  • All student identification documents presented must be originals. Photocopies are not acceptable per federal law.

  • Students who receive a Federal Work Study award must first visit the Financial Aid Office in Memorial Hall, Room 103, and ask for Keri Lupachino to obtain their "Work Study Program Award Certification" (green form).   The award certification will be reviewed by the hiring department to determine the number of hours a student is eligible to work.

  • Students who are being paid through a grant must complete their forms, then visit Kathy Knopf in the Grants Office - Marcus White 311, before bringing the completed forms to Career Services.

  • International Students who want to work on campus must first visit the Center for International Education (CIE) for determination of employment eligibility, and for the required forms for part-time work authorization.

* The sooner all of the above paperwork is submitted to Career Services, the sooner the student will be entered into the payroll database.

Students who experience an on-campus employment time lapse of 3 months or longer (not including summers or breaks) and are returning to on-campus employment must complete a new Central Connecticut State University Student Help Program Certification Form.

Students who change working location to another department
must complete a new Central Connecticut State University Student Help Program Certification Form.
