Students Seeking On-Campus Jobs |

Activate Your Central Connections Account
Find A Job, Then Obtain & Complete the
Forms

Yourself! |
|
First, visit the
Career Services website and click on “Orient
Yourself!” to follow the Part-time Jobs tutorial, then complete and submit the registration information requested at
the end. The resulting confirmation page will
provide you with the username and password information necessary
for you to activate your Central Connections account.
This will allow you to view available
jobs and apply as requested by the department.

Find
a Job, Then Obtain & Complete the Forms |
As
soon as you accept an on-campus job, the campus department that
is hiring you will provide you with the documents needed to process your employment
and activate your payroll account. You will also receive an
information packet to read before completing and signing the
forms.

The
student who is being employed must visit the Career Services
office in person with their completed forms.

All
student identification documents presented must be
originals. Photocopies are not acceptable per federal law.

Students who receive a Federal Work Study award must first
visit the Financial Aid Office in Memorial Hall, Room 103, and
ask for Keri Lupachino to
obtain their "Work Study Program Award Certification" (green
form). The award certification
will be reviewed by the hiring department to determine the
number of hours a student is eligible to work.

Students who are being paid through a grant must complete
their forms, then visit Kathy Knopf in the Grants Office -
Marcus White 311, before bringing the completed forms to
Career Services.

International Students who want to work
on campus must first visit the Center for International
Education (CIE) for determination of employment eligibility, and
for the required forms for part-time work authorization.
* The sooner all
of the above paperwork is submitted to Career Services, the sooner the
student will be entered into the payroll database.
Students who experience an
on-campus employment time lapse of 3 months or longer (not
including summers or breaks) and are returning to on-campus
employment must complete a new
Central Connecticut State University Student Help Program
Certification Form.
Students who change working location to another department
must complete a new
Central Connecticut State University Student Help Program
Certification Form. |

Visit
Career Services |
To finish the process, bring all of
the completed forms to Career Services, Willard 100, and meet
with Linda Vinci or Kimberley Dumouchel. Everything will
be reviewed before it is sent to Payroll for final processing.
The student and the hiring
department must complete, sign and return all of the the
required forms to Career Services, Willard 100,
before the student will be allowed to work on campus. |
