Friday, April 25, 2008:          FREE!!! Meet up for an informal Round-Table discussion with fellow biology teachers. The CTABT will be hosting several round-table discussions throughout the year, and these will take place in various places throughout Connecticut so that you have the opportunity to attend. This is a chance for us to get to know each other, share ideas, and to learn from each other. Feel free to bring a friend. You do not have to be a CTABT Member to attend.

                                                First Round-Table Discussion: Friday, April 25, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. at Central CT State University, Copernicus Bldg 310. Barbara Nicholson will introduce the topic “Climate Change;” pizza will be served. RSVP – so that we have an idea of how many pizzas to order. nicholsonb@ccsu.edu or zabikm@ccsu.edu.

Monday, May 19, 2008:           New England Biology Association of Two-Year Colleges (NEBATYC) Presents “Conversations About Teaching Science” This is an opportunity for science faculty at community colleges to exchange ideas about classroom and lab experiences.  Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA, Café East.

The International Association of Nanotechnology is now accepting abstracts to be presented at the upcoming  5th International Congress of Nano-Bio & Clean Tech 2008. The conference will gather world class researchers, business executives and engineers from over 30 countries.
