Summertime in Europe

Come spend part of your Summer studying in the cultural heartland of Europe. Lodging will be at a German gausthaus close to the river Rhine.

Join us for an immersion in International Marketing as we tour the ancient German cities of Freiburg and Heidelberg, university centers in the broader Baden area. We will visit Strasbourg in France, the political capital of the European Union. We will stroll leisurely through the cobbled streets of Colmar, the French city of outstanding gastronomy, the world-renowned Unterlinden museum, and the birthplace of A. Bartholdi the architect of New York’s Statue of Liberty.

Walk from Kornmarkt to centuries-old Heidelburg Castle after shopping in the long and narrow Haupstrasse lined with cafes and exquisite shops; sit in a “glasshouse” boat that cruises you along Strasbourg’s water canal decked with ornate French balconies and windows; and take the cable car to the Schauinsland mountain in the Black Forest.

This is a journey where you will encounter culture wherever you go, from the sights, tastes, and aromas of the Alsace region’s bread and pastry shops to the most beautiful church steeples in Germany.

International Marketing will be come to life in the heart of Europe where you will witness first hand the application of fashion marketing and agricultural marketing, international travel and tourism, international advertising and franchising, cultural environments, open-air markets in Medieval squares, pricing in different currencies, and the latest business developments in the European Union.

CCSU marketing professor Joseph Bonnici spent twenty-four years living in Europe. He designed and will lead this study abroad program

The cost includes round-trip economy class airfare, airport transfers in the U.S. and abroad, breakfast daily, two dinners, ground transportation, entrance fees to all required sites, and mandatory supplemental insurance.
