Makes Giving to Central Easy
Because the CCSU Foundation, Inc. is a qualified tax-exempt, non-profit organization, gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible. How much you can deduct is subject to any rules and limits set by the Internal Revenue Service. Some donors find that an additional gift prior to the end of the year will result in tax savings come April 15. The CCSU Foundation has just made donating easier with its online giving web site. Now you can support Central Connecticut State University with your gift to the Foundation anytime of the day or night using a convenient electronic payment option. Gifts may be charged to your MasterCard®, Visa®, or Discover® Card, or you can have your gift transferred directly to the Foundation from a checking or savings account using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system, a secure, private network that connects banks to one another by way of the Federal Reserve Board. You can make a one-time gift or you can set up a recurring weekly, monthly or quarterly contribution. The Foundation partnered with E-Tran, Inc., a Norwalk, CT-based financial services provider specializing in electronic cash management, to set up its online giving program in a secure, reliable, web-based environment. Your personal information is never shared outside of the companies that provide these payment services. CCSU and the Foundation require that these companies protect your information and use it only to provide the services we ask them to perform for us. Donors can access online giving at http://www.ccsu.edu/Alumni/give_now_main_page.htm. First-time users will be taken through a one-time quick and easy registration process. Once you have registered and entered the site, you can specify the amount of your gift and the gift method (ACH or credit card). You can specify that your gift be applied to any of a number of different funds or purposes or you can simply indicate unrestricted. Your online gift will make proud Central moments possible for bright, talented young men and women. All gifts are important and have an impact.
