Spring 2008 Phonathon Application

OVERVIEW

The position of CCSU Phonathon Annual Giving Representative is very unique and requires a special type of
person.  Essentially, we are looking for the best of the best - individuals who are excellent in every way. 
You have the opportunity to call Central Connecticut State University alumni, to engage them in conversation
and to ask for their financial support.  We successfully fund-raise $1.5 - $3.0 million yearly.  Most important,
you serve as University Ambassadors.

KEY INFORMATION

• Starting wage - $7.65/hour, with opportunities for raises and promotions

• Hours - 5.0 (minimum) - 15.5/week

• Calendar - Spring 2008 Phonathon runs January 28 - May 7

• Schedule - Flexible where each employee chooses desired shifts.  Shifts run:

• Location:  The calling facility is located on campus in the Elihu Burritt Library – Room 101.

• Dress: casual attire

HIRING PROCESS

2) Phone Interview:  This is a preliminary interview that helps us rank our applicants.

3) Training Phone Calls:  You will be asked to complete 1 training session including making some
     practice phone calls to demonstrate basic telephone skills.  These are integral in the hiring decisions. 
     You will be paid for training.
