                  Welcome to Central!

A university education is an adventure and an investment. It is rich with challenge and opportunity.
As you travel into new territory, however, it can be a little confusing at first. The success of your
journey and the return on your investment will depend upon:

• accurate information
• adequate planning
• good advice
• ability to communicate in a new setting

As you join the Central Connecticut State community, this planning guide will provide you with some of the essential information you must have to plan your first semester and some advice on what you need to know, whom you need to see, and how you can create a framework to make your undergraduate experience a success.

Success in college is dependent upon a clear understanding of your role in the teaching and learning process. As an adult member of this community, expect to be challenged and expect to grow and succeed. It is the choices and decisions which you make that will determine the success of your university experience. We look forward to working with you!
