The Advising Center helps undeclared students, those changing a major or minor, new students and transfers. Students can get individual help with career choices; self-assessment of interests, skills and values; and career counseling. Pre-Criminology and Pre-Communication are advised in The Advising Center.

The Office of Student Affairs offers information and referrals to student services on campus, and can help students find the resource they need for information and problem resolution, including notifying faculty of student absences.

Early Alert Program: 103 Davidson Hall.

Operation Early Alert will contact students who are referred by faculty, because the student has poor grades or attendance problems. This program will meet with the student to help him or her early in the semester.

Career Services and Cooperative Education has information on careers for different majors, information on full-time and part-time jobs available now, and assistance in developing a career plan and conducting a job search campaign. Call for information about participating in Cooperative Education to get career related work experience while attending school.

The Learning Center has a full range of academic support services for students seeking additional help with their coursework and a strong grade point average. TLC offers individual study skills tutorials; mathematics tutoring; Mathematics, English and Modern Languages placement tests; ESL academic support, and Praxis I practice. TLC also offers graduate assistantships and undergraduate work-study positions.

Prevention and Counseling Services offers a wide range of individual services and prevention programs to the university community at no cost to full and part-time students. Services include individual counseling that is confidential. Any student who has a personal psychological or behavioral concern that is interfering with their overall well being and ability to manage their academic responsibilities is encouraged to call for an appointment or to come to the office.

The Writing Center offers individual tutoring for every level of writing, and has workshops on taking essay exams, writing research papers, and other relevant topics.
