Our degree programs respond to an increasing demand for highly qualified personnel who have a combination of skills in management and technology for production-oriented industries that includes but is not limited to manufacturing, construction, supply chain, and technical service. Therefore, this study includes a comprehensive knowledge of engineering technologies, technical processes, and technology management. The main areas of focus within these degrees include:

  • Construction Management
  • Environment, Health and Safety
  • Quality Management
  • Manufacturing Management
  • Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Technology
  • Supply Chain and Logistics Management
  • Technology Management

Providing broad range of educational and career enhancement opportunities, the Department prepares graduates for careers in rapidly changing fields. Graduate study plans are individually designed by faculty advisers to prepare responsible professionals in the field. Certificate programs are offered, which provide coursework that is useful immediately in practice and may be applied to a degree program if desired. The needs and interests of students with established careers are considered, as well as those individuals who are pursuing a new career path.

Students interested in the undergraduate programs may attend Central Connecticut State University full-time or part-time. Part-time study permits a student to keep a full-time day job and enroll in courses in the later afternoon or evening. Full-time students may complete the program in four years. All of our academic programs are highly geared toward career placement and/or making connections with the student current job, through internship and capstone experiences.

Our programs have varying degrees of flexibility through directed electives that are selected with the help of an experienced faculty advisor. This flexibility also allows many transfer courses to be applied to major and general education requirements.
